SMS Messaging Terms & Opt-In

Who sends these messages

MaryamsList (maryamslist.com) is a marriage introduction platform for families. Parents, guardians and adult candidates create profiles, and a conversation opens only when both people have said yes. All text messages come from MaryamsList and identify the brand by name in every message.

Who receives them

Only registered MaryamsList members who entered their own mobile number during sign-up and checked the consent box. We never text people who have not opted in, and we never buy, rent or import phone number lists.

How you opt in

Opt-in happens on the MaryamsList sign-up screen at maryamslist.com/auth. On the step “What's your mobile number?” you enter the number used for your sign-in codes, or tap “I'd rather use email and a password” to skip it entirely. Below the number is an optional, unticked box that reads:

“Optional: I agree that the MaryamsList team may text or call me about my account beyond sign-in codes. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Consent is not required to create an account. See our Privacy Policy, SMS Terms and Terms.”

The box is not pre-ticked, no field on that screen is required, and consent is never a condition of creating an account, completing a transaction or using any MaryamsList service. Accounts are verified by email, so members who decline messaging keep full access.

Why we send messages

• One-time codes to verify your number and sign in.
• Reminders to finish your profile or ID check.
• Alerts when someone shows interest, when you have both said yes, and when a request is about to expire.
• A reminder when someone you matched with is waiting for you to finish setting up.

These are account notifications only. We do not send marketing or promotional texts.

Sample messages

• 123456 is your MaryamsList code. It expires in 10 minutes. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.
• MaryamsList: Your profile is almost ready. Finish the last few questions here: maryamslist.com/biodata Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.
• MaryamsList: Someone has expressed interest in your profile. Respond within 48 hours: maryamslist.com/introductions Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.

Opting out and help

Reply STOP to any message to stop all texts; we reply once to confirm and send nothing further. Reply HELP for help, or email support@maryamslist.com. You can also turn texts off in your account settings and keep using the service by email.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Privacy

We do not share, sell, or provide your mobile phone number or messaging consent data to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
