SMS Messaging Terms & Opt-In

Who sends these messages

MaryamsList (maryamslist.com) is a marriage introduction platform for families. Parents, guardians and adult candidates create profiles, and introductions are made only after both sides agree. All text messages come from MaryamsList and identify the brand by name in every message.

Who receives them

Only registered MaryamsList members who entered their own mobile number during sign-up and checked the consent box. We never text people who have not opted in, and we never buy, rent or import phone number lists.

How you opt in

Opt-in happens on the MaryamsList sign-up screen at maryamslist.com/auth. The “What's your mobile number? (optional)” step is entirely optional: both the number field and the consent box may be left blank, and a “Skip — don't text or call me” button continues sign-up without either. The unchecked consent box reads:

“Optional: I agree to receive account and verification text messages from MaryamsList at this number. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Consent is not required to create an account or use any part of MaryamsList. See our Privacy Policy and Terms.”

The box is not pre-ticked, no field on that screen is required, and consent is never a condition of creating an account, completing a transaction or using any MaryamsList service. Accounts are verified by email, so members who decline messaging keep full access.

Why we send messages

• One-time passcodes to verify your number at account creation and sign-in.
• Reminders to finish your profile or complete identity verification.
• Alerts when both families have accepted and an introduction is open.
• Reminders to respond to a pending introduction before it expires after 48 hours.

These are account notifications only. We do not send marketing or promotional texts.

• MaryamsList: Your verification code is 483920. It expires in 10 minutes. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.
• MaryamsList: Your profile is almost ready. Finish the last few questions here: maryamslist.com/biodata Reply STOP to opt out.

Opting out and help

Reply STOP to any message to stop all texts; we reply once to confirm and send nothing further. Reply HELP for help, or email support@maryamslist.com. You can also turn texts off in your account settings and keep using the service by email.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Privacy

This page describes our messaging program only; it is not a separate privacy policy. Our single privacy policy is at maryamslist.com/privacy. We do not share, sell, or provide your mobile phone number or messaging consent data to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
